General information

This year the EBT will take place from the 5th up to and including the 15th of March 2012. In our eyes, we have succeeded in establishing a successful edition of the EBT, including a broad range of interesting activities for all students studying at the Tilburg School of Economics and Management.

The EBT is a project of Faculty Association Asset and reaches around 5.000 students every year, thereby making it one of the largest career events in the Netherlands. Its main aim is to bring students and companies in contact with each other. Every field of study in economics and management is represented in our weeks. Whether you are interested in finance, marketing, logistics, strategy, economics, accounting, international management, econometrics or information management, with more than 50 companies participating in this year’s edition, we can guarantee that all students will be able to find companies of their interest. Moreover, self development will be the starting point during several days.

Companies focused on different fields of study present themselves during our weeks and are looking for students who stand out. The EBT offers you the possibility to stand out in many ways.

Who can participate in the EBT?

All students studying at the Tilburg School of Economics and Management are welcome to participate in the EBT. In order for international students to participate in our event, several companies offer their activities in English. Furthermore, students of other faculties are welcome to participate as well.

What does the EBT offer you?

The EBT provides the perfect opportunity for you to get in contact with companies of your interest. Whether you are orientating yourself on the labor market or you are looking for a traineeship or starters position, the EBT can help you to accomplish your goals. 

Through attending company presentations and speed date sessions, companies can give you a first impression of their activities. Individual conversations, workshops, business lunches, dinners and informal activities will help you in getting to know a company and its career possibilities better. Moreover, a Case Day is organised where real life cases are presented by prominent companies. Afterwards, you have the chance to get to know the company in an informal way during an informal activity and a dinner. Though, if you are more interested in working in a small or medium sized enterprise, the SME Day is just right for you. Two companies present themselves by means of an inhouse day. Students who are willing to become a real entrepreneur can subscribe themselves for the Entrepreneurship Day on which students have the possibility to present their own business plan or to improve their entrepreneurial skills by attending one of the workshops. Additionally, two days are focused on self development. The Assessment Day will prepare you for a job application through different assessment sessions. By participating in the Training Day, you are able to develop your personal skills in, for example, presenting, communicating and networking.

Of course a great event like the EBT cannot be ended without having a party at the end. All participants will be invited to celebrate the end of the EBT 2012 with us. You can find more information about the days and the specific dates on this website.
